Henry 9/16/08 - part I

The name of my puppy is Henry. I bought him from Internet July 2,'08. Currently he is 4&1/2 mos. He was born April 14, '08. These are some of his pictures. He is super duper playful. He looks healthy and active. His diet is rice with chicken meat, with daily intake of multivitamins.

A Tribute to Kelly
Feb 12, 1997 - August 7, 2008



The day we brought Kelly her home.

I Stood By Your Bed(Canine version) - Author Unknown

I stood by your bed last night, I came to have a peep. I could see that you were crying, You found it hard to sleep.

I whined to you softly as you brushed away a tear, "It's me, I haven't left you, I'm well, I'm fine, I'm here."

I was close to you at breakfast, I watched you pour the tea, You were thinking of the many times, your hands reached down to me.

I was with you at the shops today, Your arms were getting sore. I longed to take your parcels, I wish I could do more.

I was with you at my grave today, You tend it with such care. I want to reassure you, that I'm not lying there.

I walked with you towards the house, as you fumbled for your key. I gently put my paw on you, I smiled and said "It's me."

You looked so very tired, and sank into a chair. I tried so hard to let you know, that I was standing there.

It's possible for me, to be so near you everyday. To say to you with certainty, "I never went away."

You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew ... in the stillness of that evening, I was very close to you.

The day is over... I smile and watch you yawning and say "goodnight, God bless, I'll see you in the morning."

And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide, I'll rush across to greet you and we'll stand, side by side.

I have so many things to show you, there is so much for you to see. Be patient, live your journey out ... then come home to be with me.




Such a lady is how she laid a lot, with her little paws crossed.



Reading Black Beauty, she just wanted to be with us, my daughter, Mary Kate and Kelly outside.

6-28 was one of the last photos we took of her, just a little over a month before we had to put her down.

Kelly was born Feb 12, 1997. We brought her home April 19, 1997 at 9 weeks of age and fell in love instantly. My husband never had a dog and told me he never knew that dogs really looked at you like that; with love and affection.

Sweet, gentle, a real nuzzler, loved everyone, but loved her family most of all, and we loved her right back. She loved going for rides, taking walks, just being with us and we didn’t like going anywhere without her. The best companion, the best friend.

We were told May 23, 2008 that she had Hemangiocarcoma in her liver, giving her at most, six months, and she died Thursday, August 7, 2008, just nine weeks later. My 9-year-old daughter, Mary Kate, is having a hard time, as she’s lived her entire life with Kelly by her side, but my husband and I always thought of Kelly as our other daughter and we really, really miss her.

There’s not enough room to say all the things I want to say, but I do really hope and pray that all dogs go to heaven, because when I talk to her I hope she hears me and knows how much she meant to us and how much joy she brought into our lives. I love you, Kelly!

I want to thank Susan, Bill and Mary Kate for sharing the beautiful Kelly with all of us. My deepest condolences go out to your family. Your letter regarding Kelly brings tears down my face as I write this. Believe me when I tell you that she will hear you when you talk to her, as she will always be with you and your family.
