A big thank you to Anna for sharing her three wonderful Labrador Retrievers with us.

The first four photos are of Bob. The next six photos of are Dakota Rose and the last one is Brutus.

Five year old Brutus, AKA Rudy. Brutus was diagnosed in February of 2009 with epilepsy. It was heart breaking for me to see him go through the seizures and wait til they finally gave him that prognosis. Today, he is doing great and is seizure free.

Email from Anna: "These are my three labs and they are the joy of my life. They truly are a great dog and an inspiration to all that own them or all that have been affected by this breed. I purchased them in Montana and I would have to say that they are the greatest dogs I have owned."

Jake 4/30/09

Jake is our 15 week black lab mix. He’s our little pound puppy. Here he is enjoying his day at the grandparent’s pond with a his friend Buddy (Border Collie) who was only too happy to teach him to fetch in the water… :)

Roxie, Abbey and Nina 04/24/09

My new brindled Labrador, Roxie, with her sister, Abbey. I had never seen or heard of a brindled lab before but I know she is a purebred Labrador Retriever.



Roxie is about 8 weeks old in these pictures



Roxie and her "adopted" sister, Nina. Nina is 14 years old this year, but you would never know it except her gray hair.

Holly 4/14/09

Holly as a Puppy...

Cute little Holly, around 9 weeks old. Holly was meant to become a service dog for Helping Paws. It was clear, a year into her training that her skin allergies and personality were not well suited to the life of a service dog, so we arranged for her to live with a friend of ours, to whom she was very attached. She now lives the carefree life of a farm dog, where she has the run of seven acres and passes the time with seven cats, two horses, two donkeys, two llamas, and two pygmy goats.



Holly In the Entry...

Holly came over to visit today. I raised her to be a Helping Paws service dog, but it was clear by the time she was a teenager that her allergies and her personality didn't make her well suited to be a service dog. She now lives with a friend of mine as a farm dog and has the run of 7 acres.



Holly in the Pasture...

Holly, the lab that lives at the farm, standing in the summer pasture. Time flies. She turns five this summer.



Holly In Her Element...

Holly, a Labrador Retriever, in her element. Holly was originally being trained to be a Helping Paws Service Dog. Due to allergies, it was decided she was better suited to be a pet. She now lives on a seven acre farm where she gets to run and play, including in her very own wading pool.

Jenny is watching a manatee here. A few moments before I took this shot she was on the ski plateform, nose to nose with a manatee. They really didn't know what to think of one another. She just wagged her tail and the manatee kept watching Jenny.

G'day Fay,

I so enjoy checking out the new postings of Lab photos on your web site. The diversity of the dogs is amazing. The nature of them is always so good...they are a lovely breed. Our Lobo continues to be a constant joy in our life...he's a darling.

I was planting out trees in the rain on our property and a hole filled up with the run off water. Lobo went crazy. He had so much fun and ended up looking like this...



a disgusting mess but it was a treat to see him mucking around in doggie heaven.

then, 20 minutes later, after some good hose and towel work, he was back to his sweet self..



same dog????

and time does pass quickly....



tacky photo shop hat but you can tell that he's number one in our house.

Belle 03/16/09

My Valentine's Day Present...

This is little Ms. Belle. My wife gave her to me for Valentines Day. She is almost 6 weeks old. I have always wanted a male Yellow Lab to go along with my Chocolate Female, but when we saw her it was game over..had to have her..she is all ready spoiled.
